Managing Your Links

How to add and manage the links that connect your FSRevs account to review platforms, social media profiles, and other online destinations. These links are used throughout FSRevs — in review flows, on public pages, and in customer communications.

FSRevs organizes your links into three categories:

Links to platforms where customers can leave reviews for your business. These are the links used in review flows to direct customers to leave a review.

Provider What You’ll Need
Google Your Google Place ID — FSRevs can find this automatically if you connected your Google Business listing during registration
Facebook The URL to your Facebook reviews page
Other The direct URL to any other review platform (TripAdvisor, BBB, etc.)

A Google review link’s Place ID identifies the real listing used for scheduled rating and review-count tracking. If several FSRevs links use the same Place ID, the Google Performance report groups them as one real listing so totals are not duplicated.

When adding or correcting a Google listing:

  1. Confirm the Place ID opens the intended Google Business Profile.
  2. Use the right location scope, especially when branches have separate listings.
  3. Keep the link active if you want it available in Review Flows and included in reporting.
  4. Allow time for scheduled Google updates to build rating and review-count history.

Google click activity can appear before saved rating history. A click records the handoff to the listing through FSRevs; it does not confirm that Google loaded or that the customer posted a review.

Links to your social media profiles (Facebook page, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.). Feature them on public pages or offer them as buttons on a Simple Page so customers can find and follow your business.

Any other link you want to track or use in FSRevs — your website, a booking page, a loyalty program, or any URL relevant to your business.

  1. Open My Links under System Configuration in the portal sidebar.
  2. Select Add Review Link, Add Social Link, or Add Custom Link for the destination you need.
  3. Fill in the details:
    • How will this link be used? — Confirm the review, social, or custom category.
    • Review Provider — For a review link, choose Google, Facebook, or Other.
    • Name — The name customers see, such as “Google Reviews” or “Instagram”.
    • URL — The full destination, including https://. Google review links use Google Place ID instead.
    • Default Description — Optional supporting text displayed with the link where supported.
  4. Choose Location. Select one location, or Accessible to All Locations if you have that option.
  5. Check that the link is enabled and save it.
  6. Open the saved destination and confirm it reaches the correct business or profile. Then select the link in the Flow, Page, or other experience where you want customers to see it.

Adding a link to My Links makes it available for selection; it does not automatically add it to every customer-facing experience.

Each link is either global (shared across all locations) or assigned to one specific location. This is useful for businesses with multiple locations that each have their own Google listing or social profiles. Choose carefully when creating the link: its Location cannot be changed in the editor afterward.

A location-specific My Link is available where that location is active and compatible with the current Flow, Form, Page, or Journey. A global My Link can be used across locations when your access and the current destination allow it.

A My Link can be selected as:

When the customer opens a My Link from an existing Journey, the observed timeline records a My Link exit. Opening the same link independently remains ordinary link analytics and does not create a Journey by itself.

Use Connections from the My Link view page to see where it is configured as a possible destination.

Open the link and edit its destination when a booking page, website, or profile address changes. Test the new destination after saving. Managed customer destinations continue referring to that saved My Link; an ordinary web address pasted into other content must be updated separately.

Before disabling or moving a link to the trash, review Connections and the confirmation’s list of affected experiences. FSRevs does not automatically choose replacement destinations. Use Disable Link for a temporary pause and Enable Link when it should be available again.

Section titled “A link is missing from a destination picker”

Check that it is enabled, that its location is active, and that its scope is compatible with the Flow, Form, or Page you are editing. Review destinations also need the Review link category.

Check the saved Google Place ID and location assignment. If the assignment itself is wrong, create the link in the correct scope and update the experiences using it.

Google reporting has clicks but no rating history

Click activity and scheduled listing checks are separate. Verify the Place ID and follow Google Performance troubleshooting.

A public Google review link sends customers to Google. To read individual Google reviews and publish replies in FSRevs, a System owner or Administrator must also authorize a Google account and explicitly connect the listing to selected Location-specific public links. Global links are not eligible for this connection.

Changing or disabling a public link can make its authenticated relationship unavailable; ordinary link editing does not grant Google authority. Detaching a connection does not delete the public link. See Connect Google Accounts and Listings and Work with Google Reviews.
