Showcase Settings

Go to Content Management > Review Showcases, then choose New Showcase or open an existing showcase. Settings are organized into six tabs:

  1. Setup
  2. Content
  3. Appearance
  4. Behavior
  5. Page & QR
  6. Embed & Install

Changes do not affect the hosted Page or installed Embed until you save them.

Use this page as the settings reference. For first-time sharing, installation, and requirements, start with Review Showcases.

  • Showcase Name identifies the showcase inside the portal and is not shown to visitors.
  • Showcase Enabled controls whether the showcase can display publicly.

When you disable a showcase, its embed collapses safely on the website and its Page becomes unavailable. You do not need to remove or reinstall the script. Enable it again and save when you are ready; the Page also needs an enabled, unexpired Smart Link connection.

Choose how FSRevs selects reviews. Both modes display eligible Public feedback collected through FSRevs. Making a review private or removing it can change a public showcase even when the showcase settings stay the same.

Minimum Review Length excludes reviews shorter than the number of characters you enter and applies to either selection mode. Set it to zero when you do not want a length restriction.

Automatic selection keeps the showcase current as eligible public reviews change.

Configure:

  • Automatic Sort Order — Newest First, Oldest First, Highest Rating First, Lowest Rating First, or Random Order.
  • Locations — Leave empty to use all available locations.
  • Review Flows — Use all flows, only selected flows, or all except selected flows.
  • Employees — Leave empty to include reviews attributed to any employee.

Only selected review flows is the default for new showcases and requires at least one Included Review Flow before saving. Choose All review flows explicitly when reviews from every eligible flow should be considered. A previously saved empty included list displays no reviews.

An employee filter uses the employee saved on the review, not the person who sent the request. Selecting an employee excludes reviews without that attribution. Random Order gives the showcase a consistent shuffled order; it does not reshuffle on every page load.

Curated selection lets you choose and order up to 255 public reviews with written feedback. Automatic Location, Review Flow, and Employee filters do not apply to this list. The displayed reviews still need to be Public, meet Minimum Review Length, and remain available; reviews from a removed Review Flow are not displayed.

  1. Select Add Reviews.
  2. Search and filter the available public reviews.
  3. Add the reviews you want.
  4. Drag them into the preferred order.
  5. Save the showcase.

Adding, reordering, or clearing reviews is staged until you save. Clear Selected Reviews also requires a save before the public showcase changes.

If your access allows public-name editing, changing a reviewer’s public name changes it everywhere that review is displayed, not only in the current showcase.

Choose a layout:

  • Simple — Editorial Stack presents a refined single-column list.
  • Cloud — Responsive Gallery adapts between one, two, and three columns based on available width.
  • Guestbook — Editorial Entries uses a narrower reading column, serif messages, and signatures beneath entries. A new Guestbook starts with newest entries first and eight entries per page. Switching an existing showcase’s layout preserves its saved choices.

Rating display can be hidden, shown as star icons, or shown numerically such as 5/5. You can also control whether the showcase displays:

  • Review date
  • Profile photo
  • Additional photos
  • Customer tagline
  • Public team reply

Show Customer Additional Photos is on by default for new showcases. A photo still needs to exist on an eligible public review before it appears.

Show Reviewer Tagline displays the customer’s Testimonial Detail collected by the Review Flow. This can be a location, occasion, or other detail; it is not automatically a city and state.

When Show Public Reply is on, Public reply heading lets you replace Response from the team for this showcase. Leave it blank to use that default, or enter up to 80 characters of plain text. It changes the heading, not the saved reply itself.

The “Leave Feedback” button section adds an invitation block beneath the reviews in both the hosted Page and Embed. It is disabled by default.

  1. Turn on Show a Leave Feedback button.
  2. Choose Review flow to start. This is required while the button is enabled.
  3. Optionally enter Button text (up to 80 characters) and Invitation text (up to 120 characters).
  4. Preview and save.

The placeholders show the current layout’s defaults. Leaving a field blank uses its default; changing layouts changes only defaults, not custom wording you have saved.

Only flows you can access that are available and compatible with the showcase’s location and employee scope can be selected:

Content selection Eligible Review Flow
All review flows An available flow compatible with the showcase scope
Only selected review flows An eligible flow in Included Review Flows
All except selected review flows An eligible flow outside Excluded Review Flows
Curated selection An available flow represented by an eligible public review in the curated list

Automatic showcases can select a flow before it collects its first review. Curated showcases need a qualifying selected review from that flow, and new responses must be added to the curated list manually after they become Public.

If a source change makes the selected flow incompatible, saving clears the selection and turns the button off. If the flow becomes unavailable elsewhere, its saved reference stays visible as Unavailable saved flow, and the public button is hidden until the flow is eligible again or you select another one.

The flow’s normal collection, moderation, and completion rules still apply. See Let Visitors Leave Feedback for navigation and Journey behavior.

Set how visitors move through longer review lists:

  • Turn pagination on or off.
  • Choose from 1 to 100 Reviews Per Page when pagination is on, or Reviews to Show when it is off. Turning pagination off shows only that many reviews; it does not show the entire matching collection.
  • Use simple Previous/Next controls or detailed numbered pagination.
  • Set the review-length threshold for Read more. Zero shows the full review; roughly 150–300 characters is a practical starting point.

Use Smart Link (Optional) to create the short address and save it with the showcase in one step:

  • With no existing link, Link Enabled starts off. A blank address and disabled link create no Smart Link.
  • Turning Link Enabled on requires a Public Page Address. You can also enter an address and leave the new link disabled while preparing it.
  • An existing link keeps its address even when disabled. Clearing the address does not delete or disconnect it; validation asks you to restore the address.
  • After saving, use Copy link or Get QR Code. QR appearance and downloads remain on the Smart Link’s Link & QR screen.

Page appearance and availability explains whether the saved page is available and which branding scope it uses. Connecting at least one working Smart Link makes an eligible showcase’s Page available; no separate enable switch is needed. Other connected links may keep the Page available even when the link shown here is disabled.

See Share a Showcase Page for connected-link selection, bookmarked URLs, branding, and search exclusion.

The installation tab is now called Embed & Install. Under Embed on your website, copy Embed Code after the first save. Install it once and manage future content, layout, and behavior changes in FSRevs.

Use the separate preview actions while configuring the showcase:

  • Preview Embed shows how the reviews fit into a website column, with column-width presets and surrounding-background choices. Section-level previews use this mode too.
  • Preview Page shows the actual branded page header, background, footer, and content. It starts at Desktop (1200px), with Tablet (768px) and Mobile (390px) options, capped by the preview window. It has no artificial surrounding-background selector.

Form previews show current unsaved settings and work before a public Page has a Smart Link. The overview’s Preview Embed shows saved settings. A working preview does not mean a Page has been published or an embed has been installed.

See Review Showcases for installation, CSS tokens, and supported styling hooks.

  1. Confirm the public reviews, names, photos, and replies shown in the preview are appropriate for the website.
  2. Test the chosen review count, pagination, and Read more behavior.
  3. Save the showcase, then reload its Page or installed website embed to check the saved result.

If a chosen review is missing, check curated review eligibility. For installation problems, see showcase troubleshooting.

  1. Confirm the review is in the curated list and save any additions or reordering.
  2. Check that the review remains Public, meets Minimum Review Length, and has not been removed. Its Review Flow must not be in the trash.
  3. Check the review count and pagination settings; the review may be on a later page or beyond the number shown.
  4. Use Preview Embed or Preview Page, then save and reload the public result to compare it.

You do not need to clear automatic filters to display curated reviews. Those filters remain saved for when you return to Automatic Selection, and they do not restrict the curated preview, Page, or Embed. An empty curated list displays no reviews; it does not fall back to automatic selection.
