Google Business Profile
What Connecting Google Enables
Section titled “What Connecting Google Enables”Connect the Google account that manages your business, then choose which listings belong to your FSRevs Locations. Your team can read Google reviews, write public replies, keep private drafts, receive alerts, and explore connected performance when those features are available for your business.
Your Google account connection and your FSRevs sign-in are separate. Team members use their own FSRevs accounts and see only the Locations their roles allow.
Public Links and Connected Listings
Section titled “Public Links and Connected Listings”| Setup | What it does |
|---|---|
| Public Google review link | Sends customers to Google to leave a review. A public listing or phone lookup does not authorize FSRevs to read individual reviews or publish replies. |
| Connected Google listing | Gives FSRevs authorized access through a Google account, after a manager explicitly confirms its association with a Location and public review link. |
Adding a Google account does not connect every listing it can access. Each association is a separate choice. A public link can keep working after its authenticated connection is detached.
Choose the Right Access
Section titled “Choose the Right Access”| Task | FSRevs role needed |
|---|---|
| Connect accounts, associate listings, reconnect, or disconnect | System owner or Administrator |
| Read reviews and connected performance | Data access, or a role that includes it, at the relevant Location |
| Save private drafts, post/edit/delete replies, or mark a review handled | Google review management at the relevant Location; included with Administrator and System owner |
| Receive review alerts | Eligible Location access plus saved notification preferences |
A Location manager can read reviews but needs Google review management assigned separately to respond. Only a System owner or Administrator can assign that role. Employee tracking alone does not grant access to customer responses or Google reviews. See Roles & Permissions.
Start Here
Section titled “Start Here”- A System owner or Administrator connects the Google account and selected listings.
- Assign the team’s roles in Users > Manage Access.
- Open Google Reviews to work through the inbox.
- Write and manage replies, then choose notification preferences.
- Open Reports > Google > Visibility for connected performance.
The documentation icon at the top right of Google Reviews and Google accounts opens help beside your work when contextual documentation is enabled. The Google Reviews toolbar also links to reports, notification preferences, and Google connections when you have access.
Availability and Data Boundaries
Section titled “Availability and Data Boundaries”Connected features may be unavailable or paused for your business. An enabled feature still needs a working Google connection, a confirmed listing association, and the appropriate user role. If a page or action is missing, use Troubleshooting.
Google reviews are separate from feedback and form responses collected by FSRevs. This integration does not export Google review content as customer-response data, turn it into FSRevs testimonials, or identify which request recipient posted a Google review. A tracked visit to Google is not proof of a published review.
Drafts are private to their author. Posting, updating, or deleting a public business reply requires an explicit action. No reply needed and Mark change reviewed organize work inside FSRevs; they do not change the customer’s review on Google.
